Canine leucocyte adhesion deficiency
CLAD (Canine Leukocyte Adhesion Deficiency) is rare but devastating condition which is the result of a single recessive mutation. Pups that inherit two recessive genes for CLAD, one from each parent are severely immunocompromised and usually die early in life from multiple severe infections, even when treated with massive doses of antibiotics.
